Catalog description

This course introduces the works and life of Shakespeare by studying representative plays and poetry within their historical, cultural, and artistic contexts. Emphasis is placed on close reading while developing an awareness of various scholarly and artistic responses to Shakespeare over time. This course includes reading, speaking, and writing competencies.
