Catalog description

This course is an introductory survey of the categories of exceptional children and adults in educational settings. Attention will be directed to the following exceptionalities: intellectual and learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, communication disorders, deafness and hearing loss, blindness and low vision, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, health impairments and physical disabilities, low incidence disabilities including multiple disabilities, deaf-blindness, traumatic brain injuries, and gifted and talented individuals.
