Speech/Listening Level 5

Catalog description

This course will give students practice in the appropriate usage of idioms and expressions and phonetic patterns in spoken English. Students will practice both listening comprehension and conversational patterns through individual and group presentations. Students will engage in individual laboratory practice, group exercises, short lectures and conversations which will enhance their speaking and listening vocabularies, grammatical speech patterns and oral comprehension. Strong emphasis will be placed on phonological theory and practice.
