Clinical Dental Hygiene IV Laboratory

Catalog description

This course is a continuation of the DEH 2804L Clinical Dental Hygiene Clinic III course. It includes advanced periodontal therapy with emphasis on synthesis of case information, recognition of advanced disease states and treatment regimens including the medically compromised. Students will learn additional local anesthetic techniques preclinically and clinically; perfecting previously learned injections in this laboratory/clinic course. Critical thinking skills are emphasized to support evidence-based decision making.
