Catalog description

This introductory course provides students with an overview of a wide range of dance styles. Students will study and experience forms such as ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, tap, and additional traditional and social dance forms. The course is designed to be engaging and accessible for students with little or no prior dance experience. Emphasis is placed on developing a foundational understanding of each style through historical context and practical studio application.
