This survey course introduces beginning students to the foundational principles and techniques of ballroom dance. Emphasis is placed on elements such as posture, body alignment, leading and following, balance, and timing. The course also includes a brief overview of the historical and cultural development of ballroom dance. No prior dance experience is required for successful completion.
