Ballet Technique II

Catalog description

This course continues the study of classical ballet introduced in Ballet Technique I. It is designed to further develop technical strength, precision, and proficiency within the classical tradition of ballet dance. Students will expand their knowledge of ballet vocabulary and deepen their understanding of the art form through the continued development of their dance technique and performance, study, discussion, and observation of professional works. Emphasis is placed on correct body placement, coordination, and the refinement of movement quality.
