Introduction to Programming with Visual Basic.NET

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to software development in the Visual Basic (VB) programming language in the Microsoft dot NET environment. Students will learn to develop programs in VB using the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE. The course presents elements of the VB language, including decisions, loops, arrays and exception handling. Topics also include object oriented programming, methods, collections, file input and output, and databases. Emphasis will be on creating object-oriented programs that use a Graphical User Interface. Student hands-on programming projects will be an integral part of the course.
