An in depth discussion of the concept of culture and helps teachers/students recognize its influence on learning, communication, belief systems and values orientations, and patterns of thinking and behaving. The focus is on providing information contributing to cultural competence including applying cross-cultural understanding to planning instructional settings involving culturally and linguistically diverse students.
