This course focuses on the overlapping worlds of work and family. It examines unpaid work that takes place in or around the home as well as paid labor performed in the workplace with an emphasis on the intersections of social identities (for example, race, class, gender, and sexuality) on the experiences of groups within the family and the labor market.
