Catalog description

This course explores the rich cultural, historical, and social fabric of the Hispanic world, Spain, Latin America, and U.S. Hispanic communities, through the lens of sustainability. Students will examine foundational concepts of Hispanic civilization, including art, literature, traditions, and socio-political developments, while critically engaging with environmental, social, and economic challenges in Spanish-speaking regions. Using primary and secondary sources in English, students will analyze case studies, evaluate cultural responses to global issues, and propose regionally informed solutions.
