Medical Social Work

Catalog description

Prepares students for advanced social work practice in health care settings. Students gain knowledge, skills and proficiency in applying theoretical models, and evidence-based interventions. Focus will be upon critical health practice competency areas including but not limited to medical terminology, psychosocial assessment, treatment interventions, interdisciplinary teamwork, ethics, and leadership.
