Catalog description

This clinical rotation is designed to introduce the student to women’s health and the management of pregnancy, labor and delivery. The rotation is also designed to introduce the student to the common gynecological problems and management of common female abnormalities. The areas of family planning, pre-, intra- and post-partum care, and routine gynecological care will be covered. Students will be able to identify and manage the medical, emotional, and social well-being of a patient. Students should not expect to directly participate in delivery procedures.
