Catalog description

A clinical rotation exposing the student to a variety of clinical problems, routinely seen on the surgical services. Emphasis is placed on pre-operative and post-operative management of the patient. Aseptic technique and operating room principles are emphasized. Management of the surgical patient, both in the operating room and on the unit, are basic to this rotation.
