Catalog description

This is an integrated primary care course, foundational to the principles of human behavior and common psychosocial problems. Presented will be the clinical presentation, pathophysiology, and recognition of various diseases and anomalies in the population. Lectures and discussions will provide the student with an understanding of normal and abnormal behavior and appropriate intervention and treatment regimens. Detection and treatment of substance abuse, violence identification and prevention, and management of stress will be covered.
