Catalog description

The course focuses on the principles and application of traditional and non-traditional techniques of planning, implementing, and managing a new health service organization; the fundamentals of organizational management, and market analysis. Emphasis is placed on conducting market analysis and relating the data to the organization, community, and region. Special focus is placed on understanding the policy and economic challenges that face the president/owner of a new health service organization. Testimonials from entrepreneurs and simulations are integrated within the course to allow students to develop entrepreneurial skills. Special Conditions: Admission into the College of Health Professions MS in Health Science program and completion of prerequisite course; or consent of the Department Chair.
