Catalog description

The course provides descriptive and analytical view of US healthcare delivery system with special emphasis on quality and cost of care, access to care and patient safety and autonomy. Current status of the US healthcare, as it is undergoing major transformative changes, will be analyzed in the context of historical developments, key characteristics unique to the US healthcare delivery system and comparative assessment of the US healthcare system in relation to other highly industrialized countries.
