Psychology of Death & Dying

Catalog description

This course is an examination of various topics in the area of death and dying. Topics include the developmental trajectory of understanding death, attitudes toward death across the lifetime, stages of dying, grief and mourning in children, adolescents and adults, funeral practices, the hospice movement, euthanasia, and suicide. The emphasis is to live a more meaningful life through exploring the importance of death.
