Catalog description

This course provides information to the Practical Nursing student on basic medical-surgical principles and psychomotor skills. The learner will be able to apply clinical nursing skills of medical-surgical nursing and use an interdisciplinary approach in providing care to adult clients. The use of the nursing process is reinforced to assist in the plan of care plan: assessment, nursing diagnosis; plan, intervention, and evaluation of care. The student uses principles of health promotion, maintenance and restoration, and physiological integrity across the life span to provide client health care needs.
