A study of basic conducting rudiments, posture, conducting patterns, styles, attacks and releases with emphasis on analysis of the score, rehearsal techniques, and skills required for effective tone, balance and interpretation. Emphasis on Choral Techniques in the first semester; concentration on Instrumental Conducting in the second semester.
