Intro. to Criminal Justice

Catalog description

This course is designed to give students a critical overview, analysis, and assessment of the nature, processes, and institutions that comprise the United States criminal justice/criminal legal system-specifically, law enforcement, courts, and corrections. In this course we explore the history, philosophy, and conflicts at each stage of the process related to crime control, due process, and to race, ethnicity, gender, class, and age.
