Catalog description

This class is designed to introduce participants to the skills and techniques of sea kayaking. Students will be exposed to the fundamentals of sea kayak touring, including equipment use, proper paddling techniques, maneuvers, self and assisted rescue, and group traveling techniques. These skills will be learned in the classroom and applied on the water with an emphasis on learning safe and efficient techniques which can all be later applied to the ocean environment. Class will be conducted on local lakes and reservoirs.
