Catalog description

This course covers funeral directing, business concepts, and funeral service activities. Topics include practitioner roles, regulatory and legislative compliance, pre-need, at-need, post follow-up, first calls, transfer of remains, arrangement conferences, funeral services, funding, shipping, psychological and sociological aspects of directing and counseling. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the roles and responsibilities of funeral directing.
