Policies and Procedures

Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce policies and procedures established by local secondary educational institutions. Topics include emergency situation procedures, acceptable discipline, chain of command, role of mentors, evaluation procedures, employment requirements, dress codes, and other policies and procedures. Upon completion, students should be able to explain the policies and procedures to students, parents, or others and discuss the purpose of each policy category. All EDU courses will require you to observe in a Childcare facility, Elementary, Middle, or High School. You will need to be able to obtain a DCDEE or Public-School Background Check and may require a TB test.
