Catalog description
The first half of a year-long, interdisciplinary introduction to the university experience, including university history, policies, and campus resources. This course is co-curricular and designed to help first year students adjust to the university, increase understanding of the learning process, and acquire essential academic survival skills to make healthy choices-academically, personally, and professionally. The course emphasizes reading and study skills; awareness of academic support services; use of digital student success platforms; academic and career planning; and money management.
