Teaching Math to Students with Disabilities

Catalog description

This course will examine content of the subject of mathematics, the difficulties of students with mild to moderate disabilities in math, and evidence-based practices for teaching students with disabilities in mathematics. This course will prepare candidates to deliver effective instruction in special education math across all grade levels by deepening candidates’ content knowledge of math and pedagogical knowledge of evidence-based math practices.
