ERP Technology and Supply Chain Processes

Catalog description

This course aims to provide information about supply chain information systems, with a specific focus on ERP systems. This course does not only focus on enterprise-wide IT systems, but also includes information systems utilized in supply chains and logistics operations in general. The relevant management aspects in supply chains are also reviewed. This course is intended for all students who will work in either logistics, engineering, IT, HR, or other branches of professional life and covers issues including: how supply chain information systems are applied in management; how organizational needs match with ERP system needs; how supply chain management is integrated with information technologies; how business strategies cope with ERP system strategies; how risks are analyzed, minimized and managed; how IT or informational processes are aligned with business processes; and how professionals should encounter and cope with all aspects of information systems.
