Catalog description

This course addresses such key, perennial issues in the philosophy of mind as the nature of mind; the relationship of mind to body; the origin of mind; and the evolutionary function and value of mind. Because these issues have been traditionally addressed by philosophy and psychology, and more recently investigated by the empirical methods of neuroscience, it is appropriate and necessary that the course be interdisciplinary among these fields.
