Senior Practicum

Catalog description

This practicum course is the capstone experience that includes synthesis of nursing cognates and general education. This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to integrate clinical and theoretical learning from previous nursing courses through a role-transition clinical experience. In consultation with the instructor, students plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate a unique senior project using the nursing process with a focus on a professional nursing role. The purpose is for students to function in one of the professional nursing roles and further the transition from student nurse to professional nurse.
