3 or 4 3 or 3 0 or 2 An algebra course containing the following topics: sets, the real number system, exponents, radicals, polynomials, equations, inequalities, relations and functions, graphing, conic sections, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations, complex numbers, mathematical induction, and the binomial theorem. A graphing calculator is required. When taken for 4 credits, two hours of lab are included.
