Black English and Applied Media prepares students to understand the rhetorical factors that contribute to cultural identity and language variation in vernacular and professional Englishes. In pluralizing these language settings, students will explore Black English varieties in context across all stages, from conceptual expression to linguistic formation and written voice as a means for bridging lexical gaps between oral, print, and digital media production.
