Catalog description
This course introduces students to some of the works associated with the LGBTQIA+ community, featuring works by and about this marginalized group. Fiction works are placed alongside historical and modern-day challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals while critically examining multiple works across various media. Students will gain a multifaceted view of what it can mean to be othered due to sexual orientation and/or identity. 3 credit hours. Prerequisite: ENGL 110 or ENGL 111
