Catalog description

This English course continues practice in evidence-based academic writing, with emphasis on argumentation and research. The course involves exploring the intersection of writing and artificial intelligence (AI), examining how advanced technologies can be integrated into the essay writing process, including generating ideas for topics, gathering, analyzing, and documenting information from primary and secondary sources. Students will learn to leverage AI tools to enhance their writing skills, create compelling arguments, and craft well-reasoned essays. Through a combination of theoretical discussions, hands-on exercises, and practical applications, participants will develop a nuanced understanding of how AI can be a valuable ally in the writing process.
