Catalog description
This course discusses the impact of computers on society including the individual, business, and government. This course is also a service learning course that introduces students to the experience of responsible citizenship by conducting various service learning activities involving computing. Topics include historical and social issues in computing, security, privacy, professional responsibilities, risks and liability, and intellectual property. Students are also required to spend a minimum of 20 hours performing services to the community.
