Wireless and Mobile Security

Catalog description

This course has two main parts: wireless network security and mobile device security. The first part introduces students to the evolution of wireless/cellular networks, various wireless communication technologies, vulnerabilities and security threats to the wireless networks and devices. The second part focuses on the mobile device security, which covers the topics including threats and vulnerabilities in the three major mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Windows Phone), mobile device security models, mobile attacks and malware, and mobile device fingerprinting.
