Catalog description
This course teaches students the various forms of contract used in the construction industry and best practices for their administration and management. Through current events, students will explore contract operation regarding rights, duties, responsibilities, claims management and assignment of risk. Among others, the course covers managing construction operations from concepts of project scheduling, subcontracting practices, coordination meetings, materials, and equipment delivery, jod site safety, cost tracking, project documentation, payments, and the elements of close out. Emphasis is placed on achieving the overall project success.
