The course introduces students to Soil as a Construction Material. Topics covered include soil classification, index properties, stress analysis, compressibility and compaction, excavation, dewatering, stabilization, settlement, and foundations. It covers both analysis and testing procedures to enable students to understand the basic properties of Soils.
