Documentary and Short Film Production

Catalog description

This course covers all aspects of producing a documentary or short film. The class includes discussions of the development and production of a documentary, including the discovery of the story and techniques for presenting that information on screen. We will discuss project research techniques, storyboarding, preparing for and implementing interviewers, identifying footage sources, finding an effective storytelling method, lighting and camera techniques, graphic requirements, music selection and implementation, title design, and editing and distributing the final product.
