Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts, materials, and processes of printmaking. Emphasis is placed on developing technical skills, creative problem-solving, and an understanding of the expressive potential of printed images. Students will practice reductive and additive processes, understand and apply registration and printing of multiple matrixes, and create editions. The course encourages individual artistic development and provides a foundation for further study in printmaking and related disciplines.
