Catalog description

This course will examine theories and interactions of race, ethnicity, gender, and multiculturalism. It will include historical, legal, social, and political aspects including current initiatives. Students will learn about health disparities and social determinants of health. Students will gain an understanding of how access to healthcare, community context, education, employment, economic stability, and transportation all affect one’s health and wellness. Offered online every fall, spring, and summer.
