Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamental principles of thermodynamics as applied to mechanical engineering systems. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of energy, heat, and work interactions in systems, and the application of thermodynamic laws to practical engineering problems. Students develop a strong conceptual and analytical understanding of how energy is transferred and transformed in physical processes.
