An in-depth introduction to the fundamental principles of statics in mechanical engineering. Students will explore the interactions of forces, moments, and equilibrium in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional systems. Key topics include the analysis of free-body diagrams, resultant forces, structural integrity of beams and trusses, internal forces, centroids, and the application of friction. Through a combination of theoretical concepts and practical problem-solving exercises, students will develop critical skills essential for analyzing static systems.
