Introduction to Health Sciences

Catalog description

Overview of the field of health sciences, including an introduction to the healthcare system in America and healthcare law. The scope of practice and credentials required for licensing and certification for SLP, PT, OT and PA professions will be covered. Integration of faith, learning and clinical practice will be a major focus of this course, particularly in relation to bioethical principles and multicutural considerations. Offered every Fall and Spring (modality will either be online or on-groud each semester).
