Catalog description

An introduction to literature appropriate for the adolescent reader. This course includes an overview of the history of young adult literature, an analysis of individual titles and characteristics, reading patterns and major concerns of adolescents, and methods for teaching, reading, and writing as they relate to literature in the secondary school. Offered spring semester of even years.
