ED 3306 is a continuation of mathematical methods for elementary educators, focusing on extending number sense to decimals, fractions, and their operations. Candidates will explore instructional strategies for teaching decimal and fraction concepts using number lines, models, and real-world applications. Emphasis is placed on understanding the rationale behind computational methods, developing conceptual and procedural fluency, and connecting fractions to division, ratios, and rates.
