Catalog description

This course provides a study of the Juvenile Justice system. Students will examine characteristics of juvenile offenders, juvenile court procedures, prevention and diversion programs, and theories of causation. Other topics to be covered include the history of juvenile justice, child abuse, violent youths and gangs, and Alabama state law as it relates to juveniles. Offered online each spring.
