As demand for performance textiles grows, odor control, stain repellency, and other functional finishes have become standard. This course explores advanced performance textiles in fashion, emphasizing structural construction, specialized finishes, coatings, and emerging innovations in smart, bio-based, and biodegradable materials. Prerequisite(s): TS 111 or TS 131 or TS 015 and TS 115 or TS 110 or TT 174 or equivalent course in textile fundamentals.
