Catalog description

Students learn to enhance the story and its visual meaning by applying major theories of editing. They analyze editing strategies used for manipulating screen time and space. The philosophies and techniques of montage and continuity editing are addressed, as well as the process of storytelling using parallel and disjunctive editing strategies. Prerequisite(s): FX 114 .
