Catalog description

This course explores alternative/sustainable materials for jewelry and small object design. Natural and synthetic materials are covered, including but not limited to, plastics, resins, wood, cement. aluminum and steel. Sustainable sourcing and working methods are stressed. Emphasis is placed on professional working techniques and manufacturing processes. Prerequisite(s): JD 272 or approval of chair.
