Course surveys 17th-century art from Europe and beyond emphasizing the political, social, and cultural transformations of the period and their long-term effects on our modern society. It examines works in various mediums, which are representative of the different artistic tendencies coexisting at the time and unified under the term Baroque. Prerequisite(s): Any 100-level HA course.
